Heller's Bakery, Washington D.C.

J and I escaped to the decidedly un-foodie city of Washington D.C. for the weekend to visit with the new niece, so I wasn't expecting to have many blog-worthy posts.  Breakfast at Heller's Bakery was periodically interrupted by the occasional and to be expected stray rat kid, but other than the absence of a bathroom (despite signs warning that it would be closed at 2am each night, confusingly) I was thoroughly satiated by this ham and cheese croissant-wich.

Why do you assume DC will not have any blog-worthy spots? I snub your NY food snobbery :) DC isn't exactly NY, but it ain't Kansas!

oh snap big gasser laid it down. What about Haydees - you liked that place.

I'm also confused about the bathroom sign at hellers.

I DID like Haydees, but I forgot my camera when we went. We'll have to go back with J anyways.
